Activism and Entrepreneurship
Greenpeace
In 2014, Sonceley won her first bid with Greenpeace International, to design an open source style guide for their global Save The Arctic campaign. This project led to others with Greenpeace Australia, Africa, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, and USA on localized and multilingual initiatives. Analyzing her findings, Sonceley published a three-year case study forecasting the rise of “Bottom-up Branding.” She developed an iterative approach to design processes for globally decentralized organizations that mitigate mismatched technical and human resources. With each campaign, she developed a visual language that allows unique voices to sprout locally without breaking the larger brand integrity.
Fake Crow
In 2009, Asli Sonceley co-founded her “startup-friendly” studio Fake Crow, based in Los Angeles, servicing tech startups. Her team conceptualized minimum viable products, solved workflow and dashboard design problems for big data solutions in entertainment, travel, health, and fintech space.
Fake Crow continues operations exclusively to serve environmental organizations, B-corps, and sustainability companies.
Xtensio
With her partner Alper Cakir, Sonceley co-founded Xtensio in 2016. The SaaS company is a live document creation and collaboration platform with guided strategic business templates. The platform is used by strategic consultants, sales teams, and widely by business, advertising and marketing students.
